PREPARATION OF SLIDES:

1. Soak in 95% alcohol for at least 1/2 hour

Rinse twice in deionized H20

Rinse twice in distilled H20

2. Dip in chrome alum solution, drain and let dry for about 1 hour

CHROME.-ALUM.-GELATION SOLUTION:

2.5 gm Gelatin

500 ml distilled H20

0.25 gm Chrome-Alum (chromium potassium sulfate)

Use a warm water bath to help dissolve gelatin.

Cool and add chrome-alum.

If the solution, normally green, turns blue discard.
